McCarthy's Demise

This exchange between Senator Joseph McCarthy and lawyer Joseph Welsh, in which McCarthy smeared one of Welsh's assistants, marked a turning point in the Senator's vicious career. It happened June 9, 1954 during the Army-McCarthy Hearings in Washington.
