The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins Summary

How It All Goes Down

Here's how it all goes down: as King Derwin passes with his royal procession, Bartholomew Cubbins removes his hat—you know, per the royal custom. Just one problem: he finds the headwear is replaced by another and another and another and then… another. If all the King's horses and the all the King's men can't get those darn hats off Bartholomew's head, he might just end up dead.
