Torc Allta

Character Analysis

Torc Allta, or wereboars, are part of an ancient clan of shape-shifters from the time of the Elder Race. Scatty tells the twins that humans worshipped the clan as gods, and that's why the statues of Egyptian gods like Bastet and Anubis have human bodies with animal heads. Hekate uses the wereboars as her own special guardians, and reminds Nicholas Flamel that in the future, long after humans are gone, the Torc clan will rule the earth again.
