Among the Hidden

by Margaret Peterson Haddix

Analysis: Tough-o-Meter

We've got your back. With the Tough-O-Meter, you'll know whether to bring extra layers or Swiss army knives as you summit the literary mountain. (10 = Toughest)

(2) Sea Level

You don't need to stay Among the Hidden when it comes to this book. (Too much?) Sure, you might encounter a new word every once in a while, but nothing that a handy dictionary won't see you through. And it wouldn't hurt to slow down when you come to all the bits about government. Other than that, the only tough thing about this book is trying to put it down.
