Case File: Zeus vs. Atalanta and Hippomenes

Police Reports

Case Description: Complainant (Zeus) accuses Defendants (Atalanta and Hippomenes) of sacrilege. When Hippomenes forgot to thank Aphrodite for helping win the race against Atalanta, the goddess of love punished him by making him overcome with lust for Atalanta in a temple of Zeus. The king of the gods was none too pleased when he looked down and saw what the newlyweds were doing in his temple.

Case Status: Case closed. Zeus punished Atalanta and Hippomenes by turning them both into lions. (Is it just us, or did Atalanta totally get the bum end of this deal?)
