There are really two factors at play here – is the bar doing well? Are YOU doing well inside of the establishment? And “well” is really defined as flow… i.e. how much booze is flowing. If you’re fast on your feet, it will show over the course of an evening. When a bar manager reviews the receipts and realizes your turnover is twice as fast as the last guy, she’s going to keep you around.
