Glory

There's nothing better than smashing the ball over the fence, or striking out the side, or charging the mound when you think the pitcher is aiming for your face. Baseball—as with all professional sports—is all about the glory. Coming up to bat, with your uniquely chosen walk-up song blasting over the speakers and a whole stadium full of people cheering just for you, it's hard not to feel the glory of the moment.

And then there are the moments that you strike out. At an away game. Surrounded by angry, booing fans who hate your guts. But hey, it was still a glorious strike out. Right?
