Quick—who was the animator responsible for Remy, the young, handsome gourmet rat protagonist of Ratatouille? Oh, you don't know? Us either. It was almost certainly an unsung team of animators. Unfortunately, as the old cliché goes, "There's no 'I' in team." In this career, there won't be much individual fame.

You'll know you designed that Queen Bee in Bugs or that nonpareil CGI monster in that cool blockbuster video game that everyone's buying. But, alas, unless you have a fan base of fanatical, dedicated computer animation geeks, your name or face or personality will probably languish in obscurity.
