Stress

Stress levels vary depending on what kind of fashion designer you are. If you're the person coming up with the t-shirts and shorts sold at places like Target, chances are your job is very much like any other office job.

If, however, you work for a big-name brand that's presenting a new line at New York Fashion Week, you're going to experience lots and lots of stress.

Just imagine: all of your prototypes have to be runway-ready so that celebrities and the glitterati of the fashion world can judge you and your work, and New York Fashion Week is only one of the big shows you'll present at on an annual basis, and your line might be a complete critical and commercial failure, and you're competing with lots of other talented people to come up with the Next Big Thing in fashion—then yeah, there's some stress involved.

Hey, that's part of this process. In fashion, the higher the fashion, the higher the stress level. If you climb high enough in the fashion world, it'll be part of the fabric of your life.
