Odds of Hanging On
Unfortunately, the odds of hanging on are low in this career. You're facing high turnover in a job with a very high burnout rate. It isn't all that personally fulfilling to move people around from one job to another as if they were chess pieces on a board where everyone's a pawn (we'd better stop ourselves before we get too profound).
Let's face it—schmoozing is exhausting, and this job is all about the schmooze. You don't schmooze—you lose.
