Another reward for you, of course, is if your efforts help catch a crook in a lie. That should make you feel like a regular Dick Tracy.
Either way, your work is dedicated to an important cause. Whether you're helping the innocent or airing out the guilty's dirty laundry, your mission is to come as statistically close to the truth as humanly possible. And that's pretty glorious, if you ask us.
