You'll certainly be well known among lawyer-types. Law firms will know your name, and eager young interns might get a little giddy when they shake your hand. Depending on just how high profile your cases are, and they probably will be, you might see your name make headlines from time to time. If you're fighting for "Big Tobacco," though, expect to be the "bad guy" more often than not. So you might not want to put a Google Alert on your name just yet. If you read too much news about yourself, you might forget that your first name isn't actually "infamous," "ruthless" or "profiteering." Heads up: fame for you might be more like infamy.
