For the same reason that your odds of getting in are good, your odds of sticking around should be even better. The industry will only get bigger and bigger, so facilities and mental health offices will likely be looking to hire more therapists rather than cut back. Therapists are less at risk for malpractice lawsuits than are physicians, but it can still happen. If you can avoid this pitfall (you may not want to have any of your younger patients sit on your lap during the sessions, just to be on the safe side), you’ll be fine.
