Physical therapy is an up-close-and-personal line of work. Compassion, empathy and communication are just as important to success and longevity in the field as technical skills. If you get along with your patients (and that may be a Sisyphean task, in some cases) and staff, and you see that you're on top of all the new bells and whistles in the field (new techniques and treatments, all things innovative), then you could be as good as gold.
