Cat's Cradle Chapter 67 Summary

  • "Papa" is sent away in the ambulance, and the group breaks up.The Mintons are sent to the embassy, Newt and Angela to Frank's house, and John and the Crosbys to the Casa Mona hotel.
  • John and the Crosbys get the luxury of traveling in San Lorenzo's only taxi. Stylish.
  • The Crosbys are upset and need to know who this Bokonon is who opposes the sweet old "Papa."
  • They're told he's a Communist and a really bad man. But no one on the island follows, supports, or even likes him. Why? They don't want to get the hook or, as the cab driver calls it, "hy-u-o-ook-kuh" (67.22). Oh, now we get it!
