The Diary of Anne Frank Thursday, July 6, 1944 Summary
- Anne despairs of Peter’s weak character. Why can’t he improve himself? He’s always looking for the easy way out.
- Peter is starting to depend on Anne too much, which she doesn’t like at all.
- She doesn’t understand Peter. He is lazy. Why doesn’t he like to work or make goals for himself? Like tons of women before her and tons of women after her, Anne wonders, what’s wrong with him?
- Peter isn’t religious and even ridicules it. This bothers Anne as well. She isn’t extremely religious, but values religion because it encourages people to live a better life.
