One of the protectors, Mr. Voskuijl, has terminal cancer. Everyone in the Secret Annex misses him.
Everybody in Holland has to turn in their radios to the officials. The Annex group, however, is getting a secret small one. People all throughout the country are trying to get a hold of old radios that they can turn in while secretly keeping another one on hand. Without a radio, they can’t access British war news and will only hear German propaganda.
