Alice gives Bella an outfit for graduation, because the unknown thief has stolen her favorite clothes. Bella suddenly realizes that the thief and the vampire army in Seattle must be related. Someone is creating an army to kill her, not the Cullens.
Alice vows that they'll protect Bella, but they decide that it's best to keep Bella's revelation a secret from Edward until after the graduation ceremony. She invited all their Forks High classmates over as well.
At school, everyone steeps in graduation nostalgia. The whole ceremony passes by Bella in fast-forward. She's trying to keep up a happy façade, but then finally breaks down and tells Edward that the visitor stole her scent for the vampire army.
Edward almost loses it right then and there.
They don't have a chance to talk, because Charlie invites her to a special graduation dinner. To ensure her safety, Edward watches from outside the restaurant.
After dinner, Charlie drives Bella to the Cullens' house. Charlie has a heart-to-heart with Bella, apologizing for not being the best dad, but she tells him that living with him is the best thing that's ever happened to her.
