Apparently, love can also inspire hatred. So are love and hatred just two sides of the same coin? Or should "real" love also be turned toward your enemies?

It's like Edward is living vicariously and experiencing "having a heart" through Bella. We often associate a heart with having emotions. Edward obviously has emotions. But how might his emotional life be affected by not having a heart?
