Character Role Analysis

Electra and Chrysothemis

Sisters, sisters, there were never two such different sisters. Electra is all about duty and justice; Chrysothemis is all about pragmatism and reason. Electra does what she must; Chrysothemis does what's good for her. Nowhere are these differences more clear than the scenes in which the two sisters debate their sides, point for point, in scathing verbal sparring.
