Descriptive Essay

The Descriptive Essay asks you to, well, describe something—a person, place, memory, or so on. The purpose of this essay is to get your reader to see through your eyes (make sure they have a similar contact lens prescription) and to entertain, amuse, or enlighten them with your unique experience and thoughts. If you can entertain, amuse, and enlighten, you may be eligible to win the Descriptive Essay Triple Crown. It’s very prestigious.

A common variation of this type of essay is the Narrative.
