Brain Snacks: Tasty Tidbits of Knowledge

When her twentieth birthday rolled around, Nye was so down in the dumps she just couldn't bring herself to have any fun. So who'd she call? None other than Stella, Jack Kerouac's widow. Nye was raised in St. Louis, Jerusalem and San Antonio by her Palestinian father and American mother. Now that's quite the background. (Source.)

Nye describes herself as a "wandering poet." And, she must be a good one because she has won a ton of awards. (Source.)

Nye was chosen as a Peace Hero by PeacebyPeace. Yep, that one pretty much speaks for itself. (Source.)
