C-Shares

Definition:

See A-Shares and B-Shares.

These mutual funds have no front loads (commissions charged when you get them) but do have small back-end loads of about 1%. If you hold the fund for at least a year, that number may disappear altogether. C-shares might be a good idea for those who want to get out of their mutual fund early (but after hanging in there for at least a year).
