Credit Bureau

Categories: Econ, Banking, Careers

Sort of a Big Brother of your finances.

Whenever you make a late bill payment, those companies tattle to the credit bureau. The credit bureau keeps track of how often you're late paying and how often you pay stuff on time. Using that information, they will come up with a credit report and credit score for you—and those suckers will decide how likely you are to get that car loan, apartment, or job.
