Tendering

Definition:

"Giving." Tenderly. A company might tender to buy back a million shares of stock from the public at $25 a share.

Why is it "tender"? Because you gently, tenderly want sellers to voluntarily show up and sell you shares on the terms you outline. More flies with honey, honey.
