Guide Mentor

Character Role Analysis

Zada Landau-Banks

Even from her very distant, liberal college in Berkeley, Zada is able to provide Frankie with the guidance she needs. Frankie obviously has learned from her sister, who challenges institutions and thinks critically about them. But Zada lets Frankie make her own decisions; she expresses her opinions, but doesn't disparage Frankie for wanting to be a part of the Basset Hounds, or even for getting in trouble. She's a pretty ideal big sister in that regard.
