Green Eggs and Ham Exploration Quotes

How we cite our quotes:

Quote #1

Do you like green eggs and ham? (8-9)

Sam's seemingly innocent words turn out to be an invitation to a grand adventure. A grand and totally forced-upon-you kind of adventure, but an adventure nonetheless.

Quote #2

Would you? Could you? In a car? Eat them! Eat them! Here they are. (50-53)

When Sam kidnaps the big guy in his car, things get pretty intense. See, the big guy doesn't want to explore anything; he just wants to chill at home reading his papers. Like ya do. But sometimes life (read: persistent little kids) forces you to explore new things. Rabble-rousers like Sam see it as their duty to draw others into their lives of adventure and exploration.

Quote #3

I would not, could not, in the dark. (89-90)

There is absolutely nothing scary about the darkness in this never-described tunnel. Could this part of the story help the little ones who are afraid of the dark? Not that we, um, have any experience with that…
