Green Eggs and Ham

by Dr. Seuss

Green Eggs and Ham Lines 24-37 Summary

Of Mouse and House

  • When the big guy gets near the side of the house, Sam appears on the ledge of the window. Surprise!
  • Through the window the big guy can see a table set for two. On the table: green eggs and ham. Aww. And a cute little mouse is sitting at the table on a stool.
  • Sam wants to know if the big guy might enjoy this dish "in a house" (25) or "with a mouse" (26).
  • Mad as ever, the big guy walks off up a hill, babbling the whole time about his dislike for that particular food product. What's his beef? Ahem… his ham?
