Character Analysis

Dolohov, "a wizard with a long, pale, twisted face" (25.4) is one of the ten Death Eaters who escapes from Azkaban in Book 5. He has been convicted of "the brutal murders of Gideon and Fabian Prewett" (25.4), members of the Order of the Phoenix whom Moody showed Harry in his photo album. Dolohov participates in the final Death Eater attack on the Department of Mysteries, where he casts a slashing spell on Hermione that leaves her badly wounded, as well as an incapacitating Tarantallegra on Neville.
