Madam Pince

Character Analysis

Madam Pince is the Hogwarts school librarian. There is nothing she hates more than students messing with her books. When Ginny hands Harry some chocolate in the library, Madame Pince enchants Harry's "books, bag and ink bottle to chase him and Ginny from the library, whacking them repeatedly over the head as they ran" (29.57). Now there is a lady who respects her books.
