Millicent Bulstrode

Character Analysis

Millicent is a "large Slytherin girl" (33.161) who joins the Inquisitorial Squad. When Professor Umbridge catches Harry and Hermione in her office, Millicent Bulstrode holds Hermione firmly against the wall while Professor Umbridge tries to interrogate her. When Hermione begins to cry, Millicent "stopped trying to squash her against the wall immediately and dodged out of her way looking disgusted" (33.207). We think that Millicent is probably allergic to signs of human emotion.
