Professor Pomona Sprout

Character Analysis

Professor Sprout is the Hogwarts Herbology teacher and Head of Hufflepuff House. We really see very little of Professor Sprout in Book 5, but we do know that she has her own struggles with Professor Umbridge: when Harry gives his interview with The Quibbler about the return of Voldemort, she uses covert methods to show how happy she is with him. She gives Gryffindor House twenty points when Harry passes her a watering can. Obviously, Professor Sprout's heart is in the right place.
