Character Analysis

Williamson is a "scarlet-robed man with a pony tail" (36.95) who shouts out, "He was there! [...] I saw him, Mr. Fudge, I swear it was You-Know-Who" (36.95). In other words, Williamson is the first Ministry official at the Department of Mysteries that night to acknowledge that Voldemort has come back. Cornelius Fudge soon follows his example, saying, "I know, Williamson, I know" (36.96).
