Sir John Falstaff Timeline and Summary

  • 2.1: We learn from Falstaff's page (an unnamed Boy), that Falstaff is at death's door. Mistress Quickly, Pistol, and Nim declare that he must be dying of a broken heart.
  • 2.3: Pistol tells us that Falstaff is dead. We learn that he's been suffering from a venereal disease that finally took his life.
  • 2.3: We hear about Falstaff's final moments, where he thrashed about his bed with a terrible fever and raved like a lunatic about "the whore of Babylon."
