Galanthis in Heracles (Hercules): Birth and Early Adventures

Galanthis is the servant and friend of Alcmene, Heracles' mother. She manages to trick Ilithyia, goddess of childbirth, into letting Heracles be born. Some say that Ilithyia actually changed Galanthis into a weasel or polecat because of this.
