Horton Hatches the Egg

Horton Hatches the Egg

by Dr. Seuss

Horton Hatches the Egg Lines 151-170 Summary

Sold to The Circus

  • Horton just can't catch a break.
  • In New York, a circus immediately buys him.
  • Still sitting on the egg, in the tree, Horton is paraded all over the U.S., the butt of one big joke.
  • Where's the love, y'all?
  • Sure, he's sad. Who would want that life? But he only becomes more faithful as time passes. He's not leaving that egg no matter what.
