Litticisms

Lit and wit: a match made in heaven.

It’s hard to imagine a world in which F. Scott Fitzgerald never wrote The Great Gatsby, or where The Complete Works of William Shakespeare doesn’t include Hamlet. Fortunately for us, inspiration did strike Fitzy and Billy Shakes at the right time, and now we all have something to read over spring break while our less procrastination prone friends are partying it up in Miami Beach.

But what if, instead of coming up with a literary masterpiece, some of our great writers had been a bit off the mark, and taken things in a…slightly different direction? Would any of the following titles still be assigned reading in our lit classes? Or would they have been relegated to the bargain bin at our local library’s annual book sale?

Click on the lists below to see what the literary world would look like.
