Lolita Book 2, Chapter 12 Summary

  • Around Christmas, Lolita becomes very sick. When she recovers, Humbert consents to a "Party with Boys" (2.12.1) at the house.
  • The party pretty much sucks and Lolita finds the boys "revolting" (2.12.3), a point of great relief to Humbert.
  • For Lolita's birthday Humbert buys her a bicycle and a book about American painting.
