CBS's reality-TV show Kid Nation (since cancelled) is based on Lord of the Flies. The show brings together 40 kids to live on their own in a town. As with most reality-TV shows, "reality" is a loose term, since the children are never truly away from adults (like the production team) and the events are pretty controlled, but it's a great hook to get students thinking about how they might really act if they were left alone without adults.
