Percival Timeline and Summary

  • Percival becomes famous on the island for being the littlun who cries all the time.
  • When trying to speak at the assembly, Percival begins to repeat his full name and street address. He then cries and simply lies down to sleep.
  • After Simon, Ralph, and Piggy ask for a “sign” from the adults, Percival cries out in the darkness from his sleeping spot on the ground.
  • When the British Navy comes to rescue the boys, Percival tries to recite his name and address but cannot.
