Maniac Magee Chapter 28 Summary

  • Before long, Grayson finishes his first whole book: The Little Engine that Could. That earns an A-men from Maniac, who explains: "'I learned it in the church I used to go to. You don't have to wait for a prayer. You say it when somebody says something or does something you really like'" (28.6).
