Maniac Magee Chapter 36 Summary

  • Someone's got to look after Russell and Piper, right? Of course, it's Maniac. He keeps them in school using the bribe of a pizza a week.
  • Eventually Maniac realizes that pizza isn't going to be enough to keep them in school forever, so he resorts to using his celebrity status.
  • Maniac further builds his legend by hanging out in Finsterwald's backyard and knocking on the door. That's worth two weeks of school!
