The Metamorphoses Character Roles

Who’s good, who’s bad, who’s ugly?

Sorry, folks, we can't give you a single protagonist or antagonist, or any other character roles for Ovid's Metamorphoses. To do that, we'd have to identify the poem's single, overarching plot, and then show how various characters played a role in it. Unfortunately, Ovid's collection of over 200 myths doesn't have a plot, so this isn't really possible. This is not to say that you couldn't identify Character Roles within the individual stories, but we'll leave that up to you to explore.
