This site tags itself as “the oldest Route 66 website: Where the Mother Road meets the Internet.” This might make it sound a little more thrilling than it is, but it’s still worth checking out.

Believe it or not, people travel from across the world to go to places like Pontiac, Illinois, and see the world-famous Route 66 in person. One small-town mayor says it’s been revitalizing the town’s economy.
