Neith

Neith

Neith is Egypt's answer to Athena. In fact, some people think she actually is Athena, just in Egyptian garb. Neith is a no-nonsense goddess with killer aim, rocking a huge longbow as she hunts Lower Egypt's desert fringes. In some myths, Neith is a huntress and in others a judge; in others still, she's a creator goddess, older than Ptah and Ra and Atum combined. Yowza.

I also like the anime films of Hayao Miyazaki. Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is very good. What a powerful girl!
Disney's version of The Little Mermaid still makes me cry.
Silent films are very powerful, especially for actresses. One of the best films ever made is my favorite: The Passion of Joan of Arc (La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc), made in 1928.
Theda Bara's Cleopatra was also a great silent film. But most of it has been lost! Only these 20 seconds remain. What a crime.
