There are no two ways about it. The language, the setting, the orphans… Oliver Twist is a tough tale that packs a lot of heart. Dickens doesn't take it easy on us, but that is the beauty of it. When we finish a book like Oliver Twist we have earned it, we have learned something big, and we are forever changed.
