"Oread" is a super short poem of few words. For this reason, you might think that the poem would be a piece of cake to read and understand. Or maybe you think the poem's just giving you the silent treatment.

Not so, friends. Sometimes the shortest poems are the hardest ones to interpret, because they ask you to put pressure on every single word. "Oread" is one of these poems. You can read it quickly for sure, but analyzing and understanding it might take a little longer. Still, it's worth the effort, because this poem packs a punch.
