The Plague

The Plague

by Albert Camus

The Inspector

Character Analysis

This is the police guy who has to look into Cottard’s suicide. Frustrated by the man’s lack of cooperation, he essentially tells him he’s being a pain in the butt which, by the way, you’re not supposed to say to suicidal folk.
