Character Role Analysis

Okay, so this is even more esoteric than "Antagonist." No, we’re not just trying to impress you with how deep our thoughts are; just bear with us. Though Daedalus never appears in the book (because he’s an ancient mythological figure), his presence overshadows the whole thing. It’s as though his toga-clad ghost is hanging out in the background, perhaps designing a superior paper airplane or something, and occasionally giving Stephen nudges in the right direction.
