"Go home, Roger"

Go home, Roger.

Context

This famous quote is said by Tia and Tamera (played by Tia and Tamera Mowry) to Roger, played by Marques Houston, on Sister, Sister (1994-99).

Tia and Tamera (the characters, played by actors of the same name) were twins separated at birth, one adopted by a single dad, the other by a single mom. Fourteen years later, they were reunited—and hilarious antics ensued on the sitcom Sister, Sister.

One major source of comic relief is their obnoxious next door neighbor, Roger. When fed up with his visits, which doesn't usually take very long, the members of the house bluntly tell him, "Go home, Roger!"

Where you've heard it

"Go home, Roger" is a good companion to "Bye, Felicia," said when someone just needs to shut up and go home/get off your Instagram/never get on Twitter again.

Also, Charlize Theron was probably thinking it when Tia Mowry approached her at SoulCycle.

Pretentious Factor

If you were to drop this quote at a dinner party, would you get an in-unison "awww" or would everyone roll their eyes and never invite you back? Here it is, on a scale of 1-10.

This is actually the perfect comeback if someone calls you pretentious. Say "go home, Roger" and own it.
